The Big Checkered jute rug has a strong and medium thick weave. This gives the rug a good firm feeling and weight.
We have specifically chosen to work with jute, because the material has several unique properties. It is strong, natural and durable.
We get single crop certified organic jute material that we colour with vegetable colour to create a new type of expression and pattern of the rugs. The knots are made in a directional and spaced pattern to increase softness and make the rugs more comfortable to walk on barefoot.
